    Member name: coolhandluke

    Name: Lucas Tuttle

Car description: 2006 Mustang GT (1967 G.T. 350 tribute theme)

    Location: Yukon, OK

    Occupation: Moving/ Relocation Consultant

Main use for car: Daily driver

Use for car in future: Daily driver

How did you get into cars: Not really sure. As far back as I can remember I have always been a Mustang fan. My dad's first car was a '72 Mach 1 with a 351 CJ and I grew up hearing him talk about it. I wanted a fox as my first car but ended up with an '88 Turbo Coupe instead (great car though). I've tried driving other cars (always Ford btw) but nothing else seems to make you feel the way driving a Mustang does. To date I've owned three Mustangs; '99 Cobra, '03 Mach 1, and my '06.

Who or What motivates you to keep improving your car: Unfortunately, it would probably be all of the cars that I see on a daily basis on different forums that give me the inspiration to buy mods that I otherwise would have never known about or had the urge to purchase. I would have much more money if it wasn't for the internet. The real reason is probably that it gives me a sense of satisfaction to personalize a car in the way that I want...with my own two hands. While my car may not have half the mods that others do, I can at least say that I have done all of the work myself and be proud of that fact.

Short story about car: Like alot of people, I have always been a huge fan of the late 60's era Mustangs. My three favorite body style of cars (not just Mustangs) would probably be the '67 G.T. 350 and 500, '69 - '70 fastback (Mach 1 and Boss) and '67 GT fastback. That is the reason that I wanted to go with the tribute theme with my car. IMO the S197's styling worked perfect for the 67-68 look and there were quite a few aftermarket parts that were patterned after the '67 Shelbys which is why I settled on the G.T. 350 appearance.

    Mods:

    Wheels: 20 x 9 Chrome Shelby Razors
Tires: Toyo Proxes 4 (255/35 Front, 295/30 Rear)

    Performance:

    SCT X3 with Brenspeed Tune
    Steeda CAI with Inlet Elbow
    Hurst Billet Short Throw Shifter
    Flowmaster American Thunder Axle-Back

    Exterior Appearance:

    Cervini KR Hood
Street Scene "Eleanor" Grille with Chrome Foglight Bezels
    3D Carbon Quarter Window Scoops
    GT 500 Rear Spoiler
    Shelby Tribute Fender Badges
Shelby "CS" Logo Rear Faux Fuel Door Emblem
GT 350 Matte Black Rocker Stripes
    5% Tint
    Shorty Antenna
    Black Painted Calipers
    DHM License Frame

    Interior:

Pioneer FH P8000BT H/U with iPod and Bluetooth Handsfree Phone
Satin Silver Shelby Signature and Bars Floor Mats and Trunk Mat
Custom Engraved GT 350 Tribute Edition Dash Plaque
Scott Drake Satin Shift Boot Trim Bezel
    Black Dash Vents

    Engine Bay Appearance:
Semi-Gloss Black Textured Finish Powdercoated Cam Covers
Custom Engraved GT 350 Tribute Edition Fuse Box Cover
    Polished Fuel Rails
Mid-West Auto Gear Radiator Cover Extensions
    Shelby Strut Tower Brace

    Suspension:

Roush Rear Leveling Springs (1" drop)
    BMR Adjustable Panhard Bar
    Shelby Strut Tower Brace

ET Times, Dyno, Awards etc.: Have not taken car to the track. Have only entered in 3 shows. Won 1st in daily driver class at the 2009 Stampede show.

Purchase: Late May 2008. No story behind purchase.

Future plans: I hope to purchase a fox in the future to use an occassional driver to mod and take to the track so I will probably keep using the 06 as a daily driver. 4.10's and full exhaust are on the future purchase list though.

Thanks: To my wife for her understanding...lol.

    Can we all say, "calendar?"
