just wondering what pistons i need to clear my 2.02 valves with an f303 cam there patriot performence freedom series stock forged pistons from an 88 mustang but the valve reliefs are tiny. so what pistons do i need to run any help. also a buddy of mine told me to just grind the reliefs bigger but i heard it creates a weak point it the pistons and its a nitrous motor so dont really want to scatter it on my first pass. plus im running 1.7 harland sharps with double comp springs. any help would be great!!!!!!!

why dont you clay the pistons to see how much room you have then figure out if you need to notch the stock pistons ( which can be done and still be ok) or see if you can put thicker head gasket on it and still have good quench!

i clayed the pistons and i believe that its just the reliefs arent wide enough so my question is this if i do notch the pistons will it decrease the integity of the piston because this dumbass 331 guy told me spraying 200 of the juice to my car will scatter on my first pass and to order some 800$ je pistons i just dont have a lot of experience with the fabrication on pistons and what they will handle after notching them. Thanks for the help also.

i have used stock notched pistons with 150 and didnt think twice about it. just make sure they are still balanced afterward!
